haha. It was easier than I expected but I did not enjoy seperating/putting back together the headlights! The removal is easy, just use the guide! two top bolts for each light, remove the air duct, front grille takes 5 min. Use a ratchet to get to final 10mm bolts sort of behind grille on white mounting plastic bits attached to light. Pull off all connectors and wiggle away! It should take 10-15min to remove. I put them in the oven on about 70 oc for about 15 min (once all 9 screws were out of the back) then you have to prise them apart! This bit I did not like!!! I did not bother painting them, just simply removed orange part and put back together! We shall see if it sealed ok but I am worried they will not be sealed properly. Worst case is doing it again just re-applying some mastik. Well worth a go though!!

I have a terrible memory, i wouldn't remember they were in the oven.
I did mine on a rare hot day last year.
Left them in the green house. With out fear of finding a puddle when i got them out
I also clear siliconed mine and a year later i have never ever had any water in them.

Im wanting to do this, but like everythign else I touch at the minute...its not the best idea...also want to paint the light too, mine is a black sti so I think it would look good with them de-tangoe'd and painted black.
What type of paint to use for painting them though??

I used a hot air gun to heat mine up, then heated the sealant up again before putting the two halfs back together. also masked off the around bumper and wings to prevent any marking. looks 100% better

its not crashing mate lol £35 is a good price if anyone fancies it but doesnt dare do it themselves! To be honest, I would have just gave them to you as I did not end up painting them...I thought it was too much of a pain!

If you follow the guide mate you can't go wrong! All you need is a 10mm socket and a ratchet, phillips screwdriver and a flat bladed one. Give it a go!!!
