Detango'd mine yesterday in the oven - Worked a treat. Was going to do the black paint mod on them but I don't think it would look too good on a blue scoob...... unless there are any pics anyone has? Might do a separate pic request thread.
I've saw a few black headlight mods on white, black and silver scoobs, looks well sweet!

is it as easy as taking the lights out, in the oven for 10 mins, take off orange thing, stick light back together, in oven again for 10 mins, take out and back on the car?

Aw what?!?! The blue looks top class with the lens surround painted black. Now I wish I had just gone for it
Oh well, I might be on that next weekend. Just had to do my passenger light again, didn't reseal it properly and there was condensation all over it tonight. Added some clear silicone sealant around the unit to make sure it's air tight...... Like Elmer says above, be careful and take your time.
Cheers for the pic Elmer!

No it isn't really, the black gorp that seals the lights has the potential to go everywhere. You should take your time follow the instructions be very careful and do it properly.I used extra silicone to reseal the lights afterwards and whatever you do don't touch the inside of the actual lense itself...goodluck

Sorry to hijack the thread. What did you use to spray the mesh grille with? I was going to get some hammerite or something to do mine with?
The car looks a lot better with a black grille btw. Good job.
