Default At last , Ive finally sorted out my calipers

Well after a few hours graft on them i think they came out pretty well , unfortunately no before piccies , but they had never been touched so i'm sure you can picture how they looked ,

What do you all think

nice one mate, how did you paint behind the writing on the rear calipers??

Cheers fella , i got some high temp decals from a guy i knew sold them , ive used them before and they really do last ,

I think he sells on ebay , do a search for brake caliper decals and you should find him , (uber9)

I do think they finish the rears off nice and neatly

Sorry for the hijack,

I have a spare set of these same decals if you're interested.

BTW, ignore Elmer, I think red calipers look the mutts, just need to paint the lettering on my fronts and I'm sorted.

Hi guys.. Hoping to paint my calipers this weekend weather permitting, what's the best paint to use ? Going to use black and hoping to do them in situ ..

Halfords do a brake caliper paint which I have used and works a treat, smooth hammerite is okay, but I'm not sure what that will be like in the long term with the heating of the calipers, alternatively the VHT paint that Frayz used in his guide can be bought in tins as well as aerosols, so it can be brushed on.

I used hammerite on my last car and it was fine, just wouldn't clean up properly, it seemed to attract and then ingrain the brake dust, but that was yellow - black would be different I suppose

Perfect, thank you.. Mine have needed doing for such a long time I was going to do them Red until I saw Frayz, look pretty classy in Black..
