Max power studio photo shoot sneaky pics but no naked ladies!
We were invited by Max power Magazine down to a professional studio photo shoot yesterday with the gaffers 22b, the article is going to be about the classic impreza and the brand new 08 STI with a buying guide and modification routes etc.
The studio was just over the road from prodrive and the facilities were stunning with two massive infinity rooms that were pure white with cured walls to control the light better, I asked the photographer about his camera, “how many pixels is that mate?”, “22!” he replied!
We were blown away with the preparation and time taken on each shot! 10 hours to take 7 pictures!!!
It took over an hour and a half to take just one pic! With them moving lights around and taking shot after shot with the cars in the same place to get the perfect picture.
I was busy running around helping them move the cars but managed to get a few sneaky pics on my phone I have asked the feature editor if I was ok to post theses pics and he says it’s fine, they are only taken with a phone camera but you get the idea!
Enjoy!!!

im probably opening up a can of worms for myself now, but over the last 2 years or so, the old chavvy bodkitted max power "cru" have been ousted in favour of what seems to be a much more prepared and well thought out monthly magazine.
it seems much more centred on the japanese and american tuning scenes, infact im trying to think the last time i saw some ned in a lexus light chavved up saxo
ive bought it every month since about oct. 2000, and have witnessed the change. it used to be full of munters flashing their milk churns for a quick gawp, where as now i cant remember recently and wimmins being in there.
some excellent piccies mr "x". one shall have to pop down to the clinic just to admire that piece of engineering excellence. (the 22b )

Ads, I know what you mean about growing on you. 6 mins away from us is a Subaru garage and they have 2 08 STi - blue and dark grey - and the more you look at it and study it, it starts to make sense But if I had the choice, between the 08 and a 22B, there would be no contest.

22b looks awsome man, the pics are great they will come out SWEET dude. I feel for you, my WR1 was Featured in Max Power July 2007, not only did it take nearly three hours just finding the right place to do the fotos but it also took well into the four/five hours to do the actual pics. the photographer eventually settled on the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff to do them, and they came out great.
so congrats on the shoot, you now have a super model in your stable and hope the pics turn out spectacular.
maybe Subaru will change there policy on the hothatch gen after seeing these pics, the original formula is always best 22B was the peak.

Lax bowels ! I had the sticker in 1995 ! Omigod !
Haven't even looked at it in years, but the whole tuning scene is "growing up" now ?
DunxC
P.S. 22B for me even if it won't fit in my garage....
