My Wales Rally GB 2007 pictures (56k no way go wait for PS4)
Before I show you my snaps I took on my Canon 30D I just want to say that the a few of the roads that we used - A470 to Cardiff, the A4067 to Swansea - where just brilliant and well maintained. Why can't all the roads be like that... loverly and smooth and not filled with potholes etc...
Thursday
We started buy going to the service in SA1 to see what was about...not very much.
We went to Cardiff for the Ceremonial Start to see the cars start the rally. Before this, at 6pm there was a drivers signing.... I queued up and I got Xavier Pons, Xavier Amigo, Stephane Prevot, Chris Atkinson autograph on a SWRT card that was given out, but I got Petter Solberg and Phil Mills autograph on Petter's '24 Seven Office' hat that I had brought last year on his website...
to say I was happy would be an understatement
Leob
Petter - and his excaping Impreza
Gronholm
Fireworks where set-off to start the rally off
Behind the ramp was these little beauties
one 'slightly' famous Impreza
After that I saw the Subaru lorry and decided to take a few snaps
and whilst I was there, this caught my eye and I had a little play with my camera
Friday
We had planned to go to SS1 Port Talbot, but buy the time we got there, the car park was full/closed and no-one was going where plus some lady in her 106 wanted to get to her house further down the road....Anyhow we all got moved on and told to go to the next stage. We went to SS2 Resolfen where it was rather misty and wet. We stayed here for about an hour then moved on to SS6 Rheola 2. We got there for lunch and waited and waited because of the rain till about 3pm buy which time it was just too wet to go on the stage. So we just went back to the B&B in Defynnog. (no pictures taken)
Saturday
Eypnt SS8. We got there for the first run and I headed for Para's Leap
Then we went to the Millennium Stadium
Priceless
Sunday
We went to SA1 first
I have no idea how these people are
Trawscoed 2
and my dads WRX at the end of the four days...
I really enjoyed myself and so did my parents. Looking forward to next year.

nice, was gonna make it up to Para's Leap for Saturday afternoon but in the end decided to stay on Halfway
Was at the jump in Port Talbot, thought two jumps in two days was a bit much - needed some sideways corner action

Wahay, you've just about managed to get us in your pics on Trawscoed 2
I understand your reluctance to get out of the car at Rheola 2, we spent all day out in the rain and watched both runs, it nearly broke our spirits and I even considered taking up a nice indoor hobby like knitting instead of rallying
What time did you get to the service park on Thursday? We got there at 8am and saw plenty of action and even whiled away some time in Ford hospitality but got too warm and comfy in there so decided to leave The BBC Breakfast sport journo was there doing a live piece from Subaru's area and we had a chat with him whilst trying to get on telly - we failed

Great pictures there mate, I really are going to have to try harder to convince the wife to make the trip with me next year.
What was it like in the Millenium Stadium? A good turn out? Decent event? Or a bit of a waste of time?
