Smile My New Hayward & Scott Custom Backbox

I recieved my Hayward & Scott custom backbox today and ooohhh is it lovely!! A lot of you won't like it, cuz I just got them to make me a replica of the standard box cuz I wanna keep the look of the car standard. I want a bit more burble tho, and obviously a tiny bit more bhp is good too! Wanted to get it on before I remap it hopefully in a few weeks. Not got it fitted yet, but here's a few pics.......

Hayward & Scott are absolute legends, and I would recommend them to anyone judging by the service they have given me so far And I haven't even got it fitted yet! I'm sure I'll have even better things to say about 'em when I do!!

The service is outstanding. It was all done entirely by email, I just emailed them first enquiring about it on the 28th August (exactly 2 weeks ago) to see if they could do what I was after.....which they could! I then asked them to go ahead with it on the 3rd September.....and they told me straight away I would have it on the 11th.....and boomshackalack it's here on the 11th!! Lovin it lol.

Will post pics up once I've got it fitted, and a video clip of the sound too

Aye yeah, I had no idea they custom made stuff either until somebody on here mentioned that I should contact them when I was lookin for a twin exit backbox similar to the standard one. Give them a shout, I'm sure they'll be able to help you out

Umm......if I tell you how much it was......you will all think I am clinically insane for buying it lol. I bet it's the most expensive backbox on scoobynet!!!

Really good choice, simonds1. I recall Pete Lewis wanting a standard looking stainless replacement but the cheapskate wouldn't splash out on the H&S effort.

I'll look forward to seeing it on and hearing the soundfile.

that looks nice a nice subtle backbox.
I have to say that they are mentioned everywhere on loads of forums..
I work pretty much next door to them and the work they do appears to be top notch. That where my next ones going to be from thats for sure.

Cheers man Yeah defo get ur next exhaust from them, they seem very top notch indeed! I just can't wait to hear what it sounds like. I'm sure I heard somebody say that Hayward & Scott make the 'Racebox' exhaust that Scoobyworld have? So it might sound similar to that? I dunno what the twin exit will do for the sound, cuz most aftermarket ones are single. Ah well, will have to wait & see.....but if it's around the Racebox sound, that'll be just right I think!

Hayward and scott can make custom exhausts with pretty much your choosing of exhaust sound, if you want lots of loud burble theyll do their best if you want a high pitched squeek then theyll laugh and then do that also...

I can imagine some of their conversations "i want it to sound like 'broom broom broooooom'"
"ok brooom brooom it is then"
"no broom brooooom"
ah yes thatll require a larger more square backbox.

Haha yeah.....well I didn't actually mention anything to them about the sound. Just that I wanted it to look like the standard backbox. I think I might have used the words "a little bit more noise" at some point lol, but yeah.....I guess it's just gonna sound how it sounds!
