newly repainted wheels, not sure of the colour. what do you think?
had my wheels refurbed and wanted then to be even darker than these -
what i've ended up with is these -
yes, i agree. what the ****?! not even close, not even if stevie wonder had picked the paint pot off the shelf could they be more different.
however, i actually sort of like them. hated the gold on the white, but fookin love the dark contrast. this is a nice clean colour and doesn't clash like the gold did.
so what i'm after is some scoobynet comments to pick me up after a phone call to the refurb company got me no-where to getting them done in the colour i wanted.
so guys (and girls, coz a girl at work likes them) yay or nay??

of the 3 colours i've had on the car it's in the middle of most liked
dark is best by a long shot. getting a bit pissed off now no go with the refurb company i'm afraid moz, i went down to the company and picked a colour off the colour templates they had (very dark anthracite) he went and got a pot of the paint with the name on the template and showed it to me, i ok'd it so as far as they are concerned i've given a thumbs up to the colour that's ended up on the car.
my argument is that i assumed the paint in the pot wasn't stirred completely and was only looking for the 'metallicness' of the paint anyway. i will be going back for a row though

If they are like the 03-05 wrx wheels they look almost two tone depending on the level of sunlight, IYSWIM..?
TBH, It's very hard to tell what they're like from pics on a screen, it's how they look in the flesh that matters..!
FWIW, I prefer the new colour to the original gold..

the pics are a little bit more bronzy than in the flesh, but yeah they are a bit two tone depending on the light.
worse case and i get sent packing i can live with them. not what i wanted and they're hardly cheap to get done, but if it's got to be then i'll hardly be cutting my wrists over it.

Ask them what base coat colour they used as this can effect a colour outcome (get a 2nd opinion of another sprayer), ask if they took a leak in the clear laquer pot to produce an "antique anthracite" although they where probably not laquered.
Don't look to bad though, am sure the picture doesn't do them justice

I like the new colour, but at the end of the day it's not what you asked, and paid your hard earned for. Even if they do warm on you, I'd still give them grief if it were me

nope, no paint code i'm afraid. after the *ahem* mix up of the previous effort i pointed to a rim in their showcase and said 'i want that one' (only without the little britain voice) and it was just called new antracite, so no help there!
most good refurb places have a fair range for you to choose from so you should find something that suits your taste
