Default anyone retrimmed door panels?

Any pics of retrimmed door panels for facelift classics please?

How easy to do?

I am thinking of retrimming my door panels in grey alcantera to match p1 seats in my wagon.

If they are, then yes, i did mine.. in leather as you can see.... quite simple, i'll tell you how if they're the same as yours.....

how do i do it? past experience little things always turn into a nightmare

Yes Ron they are the same style as yours. Wouls be nice to trim mine in grey alcantera or blue fabric to match the panels on my P1 seats (similar to stickymickey).

Right then, what i did, was remove the door panel, then lay it flat on abench, and remove the original fabric.... that will give you a rough shape of what you need... but don't cut it to exactly that shape....what i did was cut the piece of fabric/leather roughly to shape..... then i used spray glue to stick the centre of the piece of fabric to the panel, then you could use a tea spoon or something to ease the fabric into the groove that is around the panel... then trim the fabric to that crease that you should have made in the fabric, then with care, spray glue on the rest of the panel, and gently ease the fabric out into the shape..... once again, using the spoon to ease it into that groove......

I say it was easy, however, i am an upholsterer by trade, and am therefore used to working with fabric etc... so no doubt it was easier for me than most......
