As SilverGC8 says, get your self a camera that does auto bracketing and download a copy of Photomatix.. its a pretty simple process.. Photomatix takes the 3 images and turns them into '48bit HDR' image which you can then capture regular Jpegs from 
its all kind of tweek and play once its in the Photomatix software.
