my carbon fibre backed grille badge
seen a few threads about painting these so thought, sod it, i'll give that a go got some carbon fibre at work, so that dissapeared
overall i'm well chuffed it was looking a bit of a disaster halfway through laying it up so when i took off the masking tape i was pleasantly surprised!!
some pics:-
badge off and cleaned up
masked off with carbon fibre ready to go
you WILL stick you b'stard
into the baking oven
TA-DA, carbon fibred badge
some back in the grille
it's a bit rough around the edges, but you can hardly see once it's back in the grille. pretty good few hours work

gljam - polyester resin mate. clear gel coat then layed up with normal poly resin. just the same as fibreglass (just a bit of a **** to lay up anything other than flat surfaces! not really the process to use around tight edges and corners to be honest, but you can get some half decent results with a bit of patience)
