my carbon fibre backed grille badge
seen a few threads about painting these so thought, sod it, i'll give that a go:) got some carbon fibre at work, so that dissapeared;)
overall i'm well chuffed:) it was looking a bit of a disaster halfway through laying it up so when i took off the masking tape i was pleasantly surprised!! some pics:- badge off and cleaned up http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000817.jpg masked off with carbon fibre ready to go http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000821.jpg you WILL stick you b'stard:mad: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000829.jpg into the baking oven;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000831.jpg TA-DA, carbon fibred badge:cool: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000832.jpg some back in the grille http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000837.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000838.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000839.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...b/P1000841.jpg it's a bit rough around the edges, but you can hardly see once it's back in the grille. pretty good few hours work:thumb: |

you would have never been able to do that with the scoobyparts badge as it was, the badge i won off ebay hadn't turned up by the weekend so had to grab the bull by the horns and take off my original badge. glad it turned out ok as the ebay one is a pink jobbie:lol1: |
if you got enough carbon fibre left mate id knock a couple more up and sell them on fleebay ud make a few quid as you dont see any badges like that on there:)
