Only if you define stage by BHP, Stage 5 and 6 is coming soon to the car and will take it beyond 500 BHP, therefore the theory of stage per bhp is vanquished. I prefer to look at stages of all round development of the car, suspension, bodykit, brakes and engine etc....

Just looked at your profile, who mapped your car to get 400ft lbs torque from a VF34. Is this a rolling road figure?

Now the APs are bedded in, the peddle feels much harder and much more responsive compaired to the OEMs. You can bring high speeds to a stationary position with full confidence.I would highly recomend them if you drive fast or if your into track days. The fronts mix well with the rear EBC TurboGroove/dimple discs with yellowstuff to compliment.

I use the car during the evenings/weekends as I've got a decent company car for daily usage.

It certainly is, Surrey Rolling Roads mapped it, got print out booklet etc. They used a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer. The fairest and most accurate way of measuring engine output in my opinion...

Its also worth pointing out that the car only started life as a wrx which i think Jacon picked up for around £16K as a euro import, engine mods came to under £4k
:: GRD - Greenwood Racing Developments ::

So thats 350HP/400FtLb for under £20k which is pretty good performance for the money in my book

...although i will admit that the suspension and brakes are lacking compared with the performance so would preferably need to budget for £2k-£4k on those too.

Thanks mate, yours looking good to and not a scratch on it from what I can see! - I hope you get the figures your looking..

I already had prefigures for car as I was running it on PPP and Subaru Dealership provided certificate etc, although I have to say it felt alot slower than it is now particularly through the gears and pulling power in higher gears without shifting down..

Yeah absolutely, I off course spent more for my own peace of mind on things like heat wrap, oil cooler, dump valve, brakes and internals etc But in principle someone on a budget can get a brandnew impreza then add the GRD performance package and have a better straight line car than pretty much anything Subaru put of the production lines these days (ALL FOR £20K). Add the brakes and suspension then your really looking at a well rounded car that keeps pace around town with most things..

The best part for me regarding GRDs tune is that the car gives the 400lbs of torque at just under 3500rpm..

Fair do's to your starting with a WRX and for GRD for getting some good torque figures.

But the 'RB'320 was a limited edition car bought out to honour Richard Burns.

Whilst I have no issues with you wanting to make a lookalike, I think you are wrong to try and rip-off the name for your own vehicle.

GRD350, should be where its at.

A lot of people thought you HAD actually modded a RB320 (and only got 30bhp more), which James actually had to point out for you. You only really needed to point this out yourself, rather than getting defensive with some of the early post. As you can see, people are more appreciative, knowing that you have not started with a 320.

You do need to lighten up a bit, just because people disagree with you. That WILL happen a lot on here.

Fair comment about title and ammended accordingly..However I was stating fact in earlier comments about how and where I want to take the levels of modification (not as you put it in a defensive way) and I have to say the rear end picture clearly shows WRX, rear WRC spoiler is prodrive and bumper lip, the front end pic has spots and of course the wheels are different. All clear signals for the RB fans to know this car isn't one. On this subject not one post apart from yours has drawn any reference towards the RB320, I realise we are all entitled to our opinions on here just like my right to respond with balanced comments.

James wasn't drawing any attention towards the car being an RB or not he was merely demonstrating what good performance value can be had by sourcing a new WRX and performance package in the right way. Although In my case I have spent significantly more than the cost of a new RB320 in the pursuit of a vehicle that is unique to my choice...

Stickers off (once you've fulfilled your contract I hope you got a discount!? ) and lowered you're going to have one hell of a car mate, beautiful.

I recently bought a 'hawkeye' I'm learning the lingo, isn't it strange how high they ride? I got Tein springs, couldnt afford full suspension and its dropped it nicely, might be a cheaper short term alternative?

I think I'll look up GRD.

Thanks Yes I think they owe me a couple of favours mate, Infact I reckon a free AST suspension kit fitted should fulfill their side of the contract And get rid of that scary high ride, when I corner and use any kind of power it sticks the back end right out, so i'm with you on a sooner rather than later fix..

In all seriousness GRD do some fantastic performance packages to suit most tastes and the best part for me is the extra power hasn't meant sacrificing realiability... If your looking to modify its definitely worth you speaking to James @ GRD.

Later when budget allows you could go for the TEIN coilover computer adjustable shocks to compliment - I was looking at them before, I believe they retail around £1250 plus fitting..
