Nothing personal, but having seen the pics of the poor guy who's subaru was stripped I don't think it appropriate to promote anything to do with that show.

im not being funny either but i live in donington and i was a track and paddock marshall there for 2 years while studying and the amount of crime there is astounding, my dads car was stolen right in front of the commentator tower near the pits on a major track day and no one noticed, security is allways minimal and its done by third party companies. the security team prior to this one only had 5-6 people to cover the whole grounds.

also if someone wanted that car it would have been far easier to remove it from the grounds and strip it, when i worked there the cars could be out of that place within 10 mins with no checks , especially if they did there old favourite and went out the market entrance (bikes usually dissapeared in the backs of vans). also they are groups that are known to the police that specifically target the track on major events and they always take the vehicle, seems strange they did'nt with this

Can't believe no one spotted this happening. Would have taken a good 30 mins or more to do that. Poor guy.

yeah i know all about the scoob stripping, as he was a member of a prtner club from scunny i think. had his bonnet, lights interior, engine bits wheels (yes dropped onto discs!) and all sorts of other bits nicked. i should know, i donated my space saver from my boot to help the poor bastid out!

i had a chat etc to some other members of the club i went with about my piccies and they were cool about it.

im gonna admit, the lack of security and organisation was appauling considering the value and size of the event, most of the minimal set up being in the trade stands inside the track itself.

BUT, for the all the lack of security, i had a great time, polished my car several times and had a few questions about it. me and my fiance really did enjoy the whole adventure, and its the three scoobs that were vandalised in the carpark that were the sour point of it all.

i was even parked next to an fq-300 on friday nights camp out in the campsite, and the owner even agreed he preferred his tuned terzo

lots of stories and tales, but as said in the opening post heres a few pics i took with my mobile. apologies if they do offend anybody, but as said lots of people had a really good day, and there wasnt that many chavs about... plenty of spaceship bodykits etc

in my eyes one thing to remember and i generallt realised this yesterday and friday

chav = scuffy burberry **** either drinking his white lighting, going skins in the sun with his tank top wearing preggers mrs, and his twelve mates in the back of a nova with calibra wheels

boyracer = 17-30, spaceship bodykit, sometimes standard engine, sometimes professionally tuned. << in my eyes anyway. feel free to discuss.

heres my few pics anyway, and my best wishes to coxy who had his car stripped and the two other fellows, one of which had a few bits taken, the other of which was stolen and not found yet i think.

comments welcome, although i understand the majority off here will flame me

enjoy the eclectic arrangement

They must've had the boot open, no doubt there was a locking wheel nut thingy, and also, the spacesaver is under the disc!

just a note for people not wanting to promote the show due to that poor guys car and what happened to it.....

may be you would take a slightly different look if you were told it was the circuit that had the problem and not the kind of people that show attracts. Donnington has always had a problem with cars being stolen, parts removed and damaged.

its the circuit owners that need to solve this problem, as far as im aware, i didnt hear of anything like this going on when the show used to be at the race course in doncaster
