the car just burst into flames whilst i was driving it ! luckily someone was nearby with a fire extinguisher !! if not my car would be a burnt out wreck ! im hoping the damage looks worse than it is as it was burning for near 1 minute so the bay is coverd but its only really the front end which has suffered most of the damage !! i think i will carry a fire extinguisher from now on

Good god steve, just saw this now and posted on sox as well ..
Absolutely gutted for you, especially after seeing it in the flesh on the rolling road

You were lucky that the guy came out with the fire extinguiser...blawdy hell so close..hope, as you say, that there is no structural damage and that you can get it fixed. Guess you need to hose all the crap off and get the engine out to see what the damage is...

I am guessing a fuel pipe leaked for that amount of flamage..

God

What a shame, your car looks lovely before.

After this and is not the first I see with this problem I'm convinced to go a supermarket, buy a fire extinguisher and put it on the car right away.

Tough break Steve..... still, gives you an excuse to change the front end like you said about.... make sure the extinguisher is close to hand!!! i might move mine in the land rover having seen this, it's on the back door which is clearly to far away from my hands!!

Looking forward to seeing the updated pics!!
