Shutter open for 30 secs.. std issue euro / jap breakdown flare... guy dancing around the car waving it about...

Notice how he even gets the font right... genius..

There are a few others as the flare lasted a good couple of minutes..

TX..

I'm not a photo guru.. but it's down to the fact that he's moving quick enough for the light coming from him to NOT settle on the sensor. The flare & lights are bright enough to get picked up instantly and the surrounding stuff (Car, grass, pole etc) are exposed stationary for 30 seconds and therefore are picked up..

If you take a look at the first picture, you can see a Ghost outline under the T as Sticky stands for about 3 seconds drawing the T in the air.. this was just long enough for the camera to start picking the light up from him...

i,m assuming you can do that with a digital slr camera?

just bought a canon 350d slr for my trip to new zealand and would like to do something similar with my scoob.

Yes, you can do it with any camera with a long shutter speed setting.

We do like our flares.... The Fiery sticks that is, rather than the 70's throw backs...
