Cool

Here's a selection of images of my last 12 years worth of motoring.

Passed test 1989

1989 - 1990
1981 Ford Escort Mk3 1.6GL in Bronze....Hmmm

1990 - 1991
1981 Ford Fiesta 1.3 Supersport :
All of 66BHP
Bought off an Old dear with 25,000 miles on the Clock (not bad for what was at the time a 9 year old car).

1991 - 1995
Ford Escort RS1600i :
Specialised Engines Stage 1 Conversion
Magnex Full system
Drilled & Grooved Disks
125BHP

1995 - 1997
1988 Ford Sierra XR4x4
No pictures, but it was White and had adjustable Spax all round.
But was a bit on the lardie side.

1997 - 2000
1983 Ford Escort Series 1 Turbo :
Full Bodywork & Interior Restoration
Colins Stage 1 Conversion
Tube Torque Exhaust
K&N 57i
Drilled & Grooved Disks
Genuine 180BHP (Great Fun & Should never of sold it)

2000 - 2000(and a bit)
1993 Subaru Impreza WRX
Gold Speeline Safari's on Yoko's
260BHP

Something I'd always wanted turned up, so the WRX had to go.

2000 - 2001
1986 Ford Sierra Cosworth 3-Door
Absolute Minter
Totally Origional
BBR Stage 1 Chip
270BHP

The in-practicality of the 3-Door, and the arrival of a Baby Boy on 10/01/01, meant the Cosworth had to go.

So I convinced the wife we needed a family car

2001 (April) - Date
1994 Subaru Impreza UK
Prodrive Edition
Recaro Interior
Handling Pack
Prodrive Exhaust & Filter
16inch Speedlines

Have since added :
17inch BK238 on Toyo's
MY99 Rear Spoiler (Ex-RB5)
235BHP (Proved a Power Engineering)

Very Impressive collection of cars mate!

Particularly like the RS Turbo S1 & Mk1 Cossie

That S1 must have been very sweet in the go department.

You've been very fortunate....

My 9 years history is as follows:

1st Car: 1982 'X' Austin Mini City (De-badged & Replaced with Cooper Badges). 8 x 10 Whella White wheels with Bridgestone tyres & Spats, Janspeed Big Bore Exhaust system with heated inlet-manifold, K & N air filter, Sony sound system & Mayfair velour interior. - Bought for £800 and scrapped for £30. I got about £300+ for the spares though!

2nd Car: 1989 'F' Toyota Carina II GL 16v (De-badged.) 15" TSW Stealth alloys with Yokohama tyres, huge sound system. - Bought for £1800 and sold for £1200.

3rd Car: 1995 'N' Fiat Cinqcento Sporting 1.1i. Completly standard as I was sick of people making fun of me looking like 'Postman Pat' in my Bright Red CinQ! Only had the car the last six months at uni as the Toyota was costing twice as much in petrol. Bought for £5800 and traded in for £3800.

3rd Car: 1994 'L' Vauxhall Astra 2.0i 8v Convertible Mk3. 17" 100+ Tornado alloys with Falken tyres, Sony sound system. Bought for £8700 and sold for £4700.

4th Car: 1997 'R' Subaru Impreza (UK) Turbo. Clear side repeaters and front indicators. I'm awaiting on a MY99/00 STi iv spoiler and intend to replace the shatty 15" alloys in the spring. Hopefully 17" OZ Superlegga's

Cheers

Hmm I'll try and dig some piccies out...

1st car - 1990 Citroen AX GT - Grey and loads of fun if slightly unreliable.

2nd car - 1987/8 Peugeot 309 GTI - Great car loads of engine work and well over 160bhp. VERY FAST I loved it and my first car with big exhaust.
Not the best piccy but -

3rd car - 1991 Citroen AX GT - Red, The only car I made PROFIT on, fantastically reliable.

4th -6th Cars Boringish (Pug 405, Primera, Citroen ZX (which is now my (ex)missus' car)

7th car - 1992 Skoda Favorit - bought for a couple of weeks as it was cheaper than hiring a car, still loads of fun actually! I still have it now though it is not running!

8th car - 1998 Citroen Xsara VTS - underated, good fun and fast.

9th car - 1994 WRX - Full exhaust, induction kit, 17" prodrive speedlines, Mintex pads, EBC grooved disc - the fastest car I've owned though on a dry twisty road the 309 wouldn't be far off!

Jon

The best one I've owned prior to the Scoob.
1984 Audi Quattro Turbo (UR Quattro)
2.1 litre turbo 5 Cylinder

Sounded fantastic. I think the Scoob sounds good, but its nothing in comparision to the quattro on full chat. Takes you straight back to the 1980's rallying era.

hehe, love it - keep em coming!

I used to dream about owning an Audi Quattro or Series 1 Escore Turbo - love it.

Either you lot are bloody old or were loaded cos back in the days when I passed my test during the early 90s insurance companies wouldn't let me near cars like that!

I owned the UR-q from 1996 - 1998 and then bought my UK94 It was immaculate when I sold it on. Loved it to bits. Was a bit of a barge though in the handling front.

Have to say that it was from an era when Audi built proper cars

Although not quite a scooby owner yet!! my car list goes something like this

1st - 1310cc Aldon preped mini (quickest car to date!!!)
2nd - Mk2 XR2
3rd - 2ltr Montego (sold two weeks later for twice what I paid for it)
4th - Volvo 244GLT (2.3 ltr's of rear wheel drive fun)
5th - Cavalier GSi (spent 5 years making this go faster)

6th - Peugeot 206GTi
