Ideas for my virgin STi?
#1
On my way back to UK with my 'virgin' (i.e. untouched) MY01 STi. Can anyone give me any ideas (within a limited budget) to improve on the images below? Especially the headlights (afraid I haven't warmed to them yet!) ...
And don't worry about the dodgey test plates - they're long gone!

Cost 18,000 cypriot pounds (about 20 grand) and another 500 quid to get it shipped back. Still have to put it through all the tests and register it when it gets back though. If vat and import duty had to be paid that would be about another 5 grand to mister taxman though.
Hope this is what you wanted.

I had a WRX with the Morettes headlights and it was fine.
I ordered a STI and I'm sure, this time, I will keep the original headlights, they are HID ones (Morettes not) and the price is about to $ 1750.00 to have them as option on other Subarus.
My opinion to improve the look is to put a "smily" grille and a beautiful front spoiler, without tuning look.
Superb car, but... you will learn to wash it !

very nice. As for the headlights, are they HID? if so then I'd be tempted to keep them, regardless of looks, because getting a HID morette setup aint going to be cheap!
if you're looking for ideas, what about this:

which is Dave-TS's car. which is very, very nice indeed

Dave....mate....that is one stunning fugly.
I didn't know U've installed proper racing seats...I've given those a few thoughts.
I've got a problem on trackdays, if I sit properly I bang me helmet against the roof...I need to sort a lower seating position somehow...any ideas?
Cheers

These are STi's own suggestions.....18x7.5 wheels, rear wing and lowered suspension....
Would certainly look the goodies in black.
Check STi website for a few other images and there parts list...

In order to stop your helmet banging against the roof (ooer missus ) - cut your head off mate - that will also get rid of 10kg of ugly fat and make yer car go faster.......
Seriously, the race seats are adjustable for height on the sidemounts and have got them set lower than standard - no helmet problems for me
Cosmic
With thanks to ChrisB.......

I can vouch for the front spoiler - that really sharpens the front's looks - also ZERO sports has a CF headlight cover that looks good, along with extenders for rear wing that helps back there too.
