I like the Escort Cosworths They favour very high in my top car list. That one looks like it could do with a bit of lowering. Looks great though.

The Cossie was my absolute dream of a car ten years ago. I actually considered buying one before i got my Scooby but i could not justify such bg money for a old car.

very nice. must admit though, if i had the money it'd be the escy every time. don't get me wrong i'd also love to have a blob eye scooby, but there's just something about an escort cosworth in top condition that makes me want to sell some of my organs

I think that white STi's are the best ... unusual for a UK one to be white though? Is it a UK model?

I can appreciate the work that's gone into the Escort and it is a fine example but I don't think they have aged very well, just like early Evos. I don't think they look right anymore. I love the Scoob though.

Yes it is a UK model - the white ones are special order and had to wait three months for it.Have been told there is only five white MY05 STIs in UK

The escort does look a bit dated now but it is a classic and the last proper RS to be made. For a lot of the people in their thirties on here the cosworth will always be a special car and hopefully Ford will make a car someday to rival the Subaru/Evo but I doubt it.

Hoskib - yes I did detango the lights just followed one of the threads on here. Was fairly easy once I got my head round putting the headlight in the oven. This is the only half decent pic Ive got of the front

Also took most of the badges off the back and put silver vision indicator bulbs in the front and rear.Looks a lot better

Have also ordered a rear diffuser and cusco brace

just took off the subaru writting on the boot on mine, but seeing yours with just the STi i think this might be the way to go!

keep re-reading the de tango thread but just haven't got the ***** at the mo to take out the lights and put them in an oven!

Beautiful in white!

I too have been contemplating the de-tango and the lettering on the boot. I was thinking of just leaving the subaru, but now i've seen with just the Sti on, that might be the way...

Cossie looks A1! Personally keep the look, wheels and ride height make it look so original.... work on the engine mods instead!!!

He has ordered an Ahmed Bayjoo chip ,actuator and plugs for it which should take it up to about 270bhp.An uprated fuel pump and new stainless exhaust have already been fitted. He wants to keep it as original looking as possible. Its a fourteen year old escort at the end of the day so is going to look a bit dated but you still get a buzz sitting in it and what other car will still hold two thirds of its original value after fourteen years.I have lost a load more on the STI in one year.
