Default H&S Exhaust Just Fitted.

Just had Fitted today a Haywood & Scott BackBox and centre Pipe. Its a 4 1/2inch jap style angled. Sounds absolutley brilliant, well chuffed!
Had it fitted by Special Scoobies of Colchester. A fantastic service they offer, ordered one day in the next for fitting.
Well worth a call on:- 01206 760074.

Ive just sold my one of these, it was a cracking bit of kit.

Sounded much better than anythin else IMO.

Its only being replaced with a bigger bore hayward item as it starts to get restrictive after 350bhp.

not too sure, i've seen your car before, don't think so. I did wave to a fellow scooby but he was in a wagon, not a salon.

Very interested in a meet colchester/clacton.

Frayz:- cor-blimmey bigger bore and 350bhp .
I love the welding on the H&S.

BodSki:- Look great too, was it just the backbox you got?, mind you, you have the PPP anyway!. Stupid question really but are you happy with it?

Not sure on how you do the old sound clips, but I'll look in to it.

Hey Darren
Yes M8 just the backbox, did consider centre section and decat but to be honest it's as loud as i want as is, decat does appeal but can't be arsed with the whole might get through the MOT might not situation, should hopefully be going down to Bob for a tek 3 late summer so i'll ask his advice then

Yeah the loudness is just about right for me, just done a 300 miles round trip over the weekend on motorways and it was fine once you settle at a steady speed (he says to the officer........ ). Plus its the warranty aswell, as mine is now it wouldn't be too bad to put the old one back on if needs be, but I was'nt intending on modding it so soon after getting it, well 5 months is long enough I guess!.

Whats this about Bob?, and a tek3?, is that a form of re-map?

What u gettin Frayz ??

Darren, Bob is Bob Rawl (also been known as god, messiah etc etc) and yep a Tek 3 is a map that he and only he is gonna be allowed to put on my car, not sure what figures to expect without a decat but i've been told that a PPP running a Tek 3 should totally transorm the power delivery as well as smooth it out a bit, i'm hoping for about 315 bhp and around the same torque, just waiting for my share money from Standard life and i'll be booked in lol

Mine is loud about the town, when your doing 2mph in traffic, but once you settle at a steady speed it just blends away, until you put your foot down.

So the very best of both worlds I think, and it does sound so nice, its transformed the car.

I do now thats for sure!.
What are you after i.e. backbox/cat replace etc. I've just gone for a centre section and backbox, I think if you replace the cats that will make it louder, but also release MORE POWER . I'm still under warranty as didn't want to push it.

Frayz how does the sound compare to the old system?. Have you done a complete cat-replacement?

Yes mate its 3" from the turbo back with just the rear box.

Amazingly its quieter than the last system, its got no high pitched crack or rasp at all, just a deep hard flat four throb that gets more aggressive as the boost comes in.

Sounds nothing at all like the 2.5" system.
