Default carbon dipped dash trim

I sent my dash panel trim off to have them carbon dipped,I was after the subaru carbon dash kit,but unfortunately,i am a tight git,so no way was i paying £250 for a few bits of plastic!!!

Anyway,i used a company through my local halfords ripspeed X store, the trim was away for two weeks and returned looking superb

Total cost was £35 plus vat and courier costs so just under £60

What ya think

Would be useful to know what company did the work and whether they can do "other" effects and finishes.

Looks like a flipping bargain!

the wench at ripspeed x wont give me the company phone number
obviously, halfords are taking a cut on top of the price charged

But earlier, when i dropped the forester pocket and door handles in,i sneaked a peak in there diary and its a company called Ashford international ltd based in middlesex

so if anyone lives in the area and knows of them or can get there contact details, group buys galore

also, they do other finish's,carbon(loads of colours)chrome/alloy/flip paint style/wood effect etc

Sorry for asking this, but how the hell do you get the damn panels off? I'm a bit scared at ruining the plastic.

ok matey

1-open the drinks holder and remove the two screws holding it in place
2-pull this out, this will free up space for your fingers to pull at the top edge of the stereo/air con surround panel, this will pop free as it is fitted with four pop plugs
3-the top air vent unit is removed the same way as the stereo surround, give it a decent pull and out it comes
4-small round air vents, use a kitchen knife to just prize at one side and it will pop out

when you have removed all the panels, just unscrew the aircon unit away from the stereo surround, and same with the top middle air vents

hope this helps
