Pintos + Twin 45s
Pintos matey - set up by Alan Goodwin @ Aldon Automotive, had some good runs at Loton Park (www.hdlcc.com) in 2005.

Could have done with an Atlas rear axle and LSD, but roundabouts were a hoot in the wet
Just managed to get the care prepped correctly and had to sell.
Lad from South Wales is the new owner.
I wish I had the garage space for most of the cars I have owned.......

X-Packs You either love them or hate them, I might turn mine back into an Tarmac Ally arched one, I might be sooner if we take the arches off on the next Rally
I used to have a droop snoop Non X-pack one as well
This is our Rally X-pack it's next stage rally is at the end of july
Just got to get the New 45 working properly

Thanks Chaps
Thanks for the comments.
The car was a "work in progress" - too many little jobs required attention and I just did not have the time in 2004.
It was fitted with the genuine RS embossed X pack panels, and had most of the X Pack extras (apart from the bonnet pins).
I have always loved Mark 2s - had a few in my youth, including a Daytona Yellow arched flat front 2.1 (the flying banana) - I will post a photograph tonight.
Huxley - great picture.
You are not a man until you have had a RWD Escort on full drift down a muddy country lane
Happy, happy days..................

Good man, means you were trying.
Some friends and myself would often find ourselves in 2 or 3 Marks 2s on the back rounds around Brecon early on a Sunday morning.
Ripping around - day would not be complete unless one of the cars was damaged.
Easy and cheap to repair in those days (cars not the drivers )

I think RWD Escorts were the Scooby of their day.
I had a few different ones from 1.3sport to 2.2 stroked HT racing prepped.
Luckily I lived near Rally Design, and the people that made their 5 Link and Turret Kits, etc
Any other pictures out there?

Funny, but if you were to do the equivalent of an X-pack to a Scoob nowadays you'd probably be flamed to hell

I'm a Mk 1 fan too - here's my old car. I bought it when I was 21 (it was six months' old) and kept it for 9 years. £56 fully comp back then
Took this on 7th July 1977. Fortunately I didn't hit anyone with the light brackets
