Talking Summer Track Project

I thought I would share my new Summer Track Project

I spent ages looking for the right car (6 months), found this one through EBay and dealt outside of the auction for it

I know what you mean, I am toying with the idea of keeping it standard, but ..........

I had one a little while ago. Twin carbs, mi16 conversion, uprated brakes etc etc etc . TBH it felt a better car when it was standard. Was a pig to start all the time after being converted, the acceleration was good, but IMHO not worth it in the end.

Strip it and track it is all you need to do at first anyway.

I agree start slow, stripped, caged, uprated pads etc, then decide on engine mods after.

Ah man thats great but you can't turn it into a track car - its far to original - theres hardly any 205's around like that...........would be a real shame if you did

Why R1 carbs, and not throttle bodies?

Thumbs up

Nice looking motor , I can't believe mine has got 70,000 more miles than yours.

TBH, I would keep it as standard and find a rougher version to rip apart and track.

Seeing as it's in such original order, is there any chance of taking a picture of the panel to the right of the steering wheel? Mine is missing the cover to the fuse box, I would love to see what that panel looks like. I've often had a look around scrap yards, but they all seem to be missing that part.

Cheers

save yourself a lot of money, sell that as a minter, and buy something a bit rougher without a sunroof at the same time before you strip...

something like this. Cost me £250 to buy

£250 ****ter

Nearly finished track track slayer

Ok about £9k later...
