Default Peak tour 2005 video

Hello guys...

Finally got some footage of the last peak tour...first one so the sound is pretty bad but i'll have another go as just learning to use the software...

http://media.putfile.com/Peak-Tour-1

I'll maybe post some more up when i get them better quality...

My favourite bit was 3 minutes in when trying to catch up....have a listen if you can hear it haha.

Cheers

BONKERS!!!!! Looks good fun.

Tony G said some people take along radios to talk during tours.

Is that right?

Fast?

Depends on the group really...you drive at your own pace and stick to it. No point being a hero and crashing...We were going fast enough but there was still regard for safety..

I found it was a great way to really get used to the car and by the end of the day was throwing it around with a little more confidence..

As for my brakes...I'm not sure to this day. I got a slightly spongy pedal feel and at that last bit I was pressing as hard as I could and I was only just slowing down.

I'd only had the pads in a while so I went back to my garage and they replaced them foc....but not had chance to test them yet.

It felt like the pads had glazed over but I've got grooved discs so that should stop that from happening. I really don't rate the brakes on mine tho and the next mod is gonna be some bigger ones i think or at least to get them fully sorted...

Just watched both vids.....

Brakes...Mmmm, long downhill stretch, lots of 'easing' off... and light braking = lots of heat build up, they simply faded mate...... not a pleasant experience though!

if youestimate at about a tank full, you'll not go far wrong....i didn't use more than a tank last time.....spirited driving is always gonna make it a little worse on the old mpg....

the 1st 1 was just driving to close to a good mate in his scooby and i hit him up the rear more damage to mine than to his. also ABS didnt help at all. no cost to me or the other driver like i said a very good mate.

2nd 1 was just bad luck and very silly driving from the other driver. if you go throw the very nice long tunnel it happened at the end of that i was parked up talking to other scooby drivers when a scooby came out the tunnel to fast no time to stop and bang i had to jump in the air out of the way before he hit my legs and the car.

1 hour before my very good mate had just worte scooby off with a very bad crash luckly no one was hurt.

but i will still say it is a very good day out you all have a map so you can drive at your own speed.
