Default FMIC fitted at last...

I've been on annual leave for the last month so have had to find some way of keeping out of trouble. Bought a load of toys for the car (sorry about the pics...I was too lazy to get the proper digi cam out and just used my phone ) :

To replace the already upgraded TMIC:

Took some cutting of body work though:

Hmm, engine ****....and the new Apexi induction kit:

Don't need that huge scoop anymore!

So replaced it with this to help vent the heat:

Needs meshing to stop something hibernating in there I think!

And added some rally flaps to stop the burning rubber knocking an unsuspecting pedestrian out:

Got a few finishing touches (Nissan 300ZX TT airflow meter) before getting the engine management set up again by Andy F on 28th March.

Looking good. Very Tidy install.

Interested to know why you have used Silicone hosing after the battery area, to throttle body??? Is it Not the Hybrid kit?

Thanks PICKLE. The intercooler was from Flat4online. The fitting kit is for the 96-00 models only and a lot of the pipe work didn't line up as my car is an MY95. I had to cut a section of the pipe from the turbo outlet and use a 90degree silicone hose. I also used silicone from the throttle body side. I now have a dump valve T piece directly after the 90degree section from the throttle body as below:

The whole install was a nightmare and took a lot of cutting and head scratching. The angle grinder is my new best friend I am glad it has come together reasonably well though and it was a good job I had 5 weeks off work!

Absolutely nothing! I noticed the heat vent on ETS and thought it'd look more subtle than my STi8 scoop. Decided to fit the FMIC so I could run the ETS vent - It will also help though as my many mods stack up.

RoRu: You can get the vent from http://www.ets-racing.co.uk/

Thanks for the comments I work for the Ambulance service. Strategic placement of annual leave mean I only used 15 days to get 5 weeks off

Phil your attention to detail never wavers

That looks first class indeed... was you nervous when you fired the angle grinder up ? and have you considered an Evo style number plate fitted on the fog light cover ?

Cheers . Yes, I was apprehensive about taking an angle grider to my car but nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that! I did consider using my original square number plate over the fog light cover, evo style, but I think I prefer the smaller plate.

I've helped fit two front mounts now and when the sparks start to fly fear sets in I've a picture of Danny's car with an Evo style plate if you want me to post it.

Just a quick update....had a remap but still need to fit the new injectors and Nissan 300ZX MAF. Andy F managed to eek a little more out of the original injectors by upping the fuel pressure for now - boost is now 1.4bar - up from 1.25. It is much quicker now dispensing the 60-100 in 6secs - down from 7.45secs. 0-100 is just under 10secs. Added a few finishing touches to the bodywork by changing the small plate again to Evo style offset plate. This was because I was collecting £30 fines . Changed the rear spoiler for something a little more subtle but I can see people not liking it, not that I care - I think it's cool anyway

Enjoy (sorry about the quality - phone cam):

Thanks Ian and yes, I was planning on removing the subaru logo's from the flaps tomorrow when I wash it. I may remove the mesh in front of the i/c and spray it but I am sick of taking the bumper off....I was going to do it initially but never got round to it as I just wanted it finished. Maybe when the weather's nice

Thanks Paul! A big thanks for fitting the spoiler and ironing out my little blemishes in the bodywork. I am really happy with the results! Shame about your little mishap though

Thumbs up

Looking good mate!

The vent from ets on the website has my car on it! I got the first prototype to test for them. It has been working brilliant for a while now. Good luck to you and the new look!

Where did you get the boot spoiler?
