Default 3D - Subaru Impreza WRC 06

I've been working on this for a while, an I've kept it a secret as I believe I am the very first to make this car in 3d in the world due to there not being any blueprints for it, so it was made by constantly looking a pics lol - Thought it was about time I made a scooby aswell

Car consists of:
> All body parts
> Roof Camera + Aerials
> Full Interior including dash, steering, racing seats, rollcage etc > Wheels have wheel nuts, disc brakes + callipers
> Fully textured with next years decals
> All textures made from scratch in Photoshop
> Rendered in VRay with HDRI at 1280res, 12-14 minutes per picture respectively.
> Background is 3d aswell

Enjoy + thanks for looking!

Just switching from Solidworks to Inventor due to work. As you I looked at it and wondered about the work involded to model that. I presume the package used works in a different way?

No idea about the polys lad - it wasn't in mind, I just set out to full on accurate replica - everything on that is modelled, the lights are fully modelled, with about 10 parts in each, interior is fully done, mesh parts are **** loads, brake discs/callipers all down to the wheel nuts - at a guess i'd say over 120k, LOL - Nothing like what I have to do at work, not even the PS3/xbox360 game we're working on at the mo could handle it , textures are about 1000 px all made from scratch in Photoshop

love the modelling, used to work on 3DS back in college.

the background could do with being a bit more exciting tho

this guy does the same as you: http://www.deviantart.com/view/19748948/

if I was being **** ( ) then you might say that the car paint shader needs some work, and the 'dirt' on your yellow swooshes looks like 'difference clouds'

for some ref, here is the 06 WRC car at the recent car show:

See what I mean about the car paint?
Plus the vinyl stuff isnt yellow, it's more fluro yellow/green ish.. might even need a seperate shader (less spec' for the vinyl?).
The 'blue' colour is off for starters compared to the real thing...

Great modelling though

All meant as constructive crit matey

yeh you're probably right, the 'dirt' was **** ups from the hdri, not actually on the map itself as for the shader, yeh spose it could be darker, but meh, lol. When i started it, back in october, there were only a few pics of it, like this > http://www.wrc-wallpaper.de/wall/Sub...C%2006%202.jpg, so i went by that, colour-wise - I finished this before xmas, so am a bit late posting it

cheers all for feedback
