Red face New wheels again

Only 2 months ago I purchased a set of bug eye/blob eye 17" wrx wheels Yesterday they were replaced with sti 7 rims

This was before

This is after

They look like a tight squeeze on a Legacy but they do have 215/45 tyres already. I'll be swapping the tyres when I get chance to use my bridgestone potenzas on them instead.

The wife thinks it's a spot the difference game she was getting me to switch between the photos trying to spot the differences

The big difference is the way the spoke sit. The wheels are wider so fill the arches better and the spokes actually stick out making them look even wider

They make the car look so much better and aggressive

Is that a dark blue mica or black colour legacy?

Whatever it is it looks really nice. I would not grumble if i owned that, instead of owning a new age scoob (classic-bug-blob)

It's a dark blue mica It's an unusual colour for them because the majority of those came in white. In photos it always looks black though

Thanks

No I should have thought of that It looks good from the back too because you can now see the spokes sticking out which you couldn't see before I'll take some and update this thread

Have you noticed any difference in the ride quality between the two wheels ? ,i know it sounds stupid but i did exactly the same as you on my 98 Impreza and even though its hard to explain the car "felt" better on the WRX wheels than it does on the STi wheels, I sold the WRX wheels so i cant chnge back anyway, just wonder if youve noticed any difference.
BTW the STi wheels look alot nicer than the WRX wheels, and my wife couldnt tell the difference either

Just driving in and out of the garage due this optimax shortage it's hard to say I'm really angry at Shell at the moment and haven't driven the car 20 metres due to this but tomorrow it's coming out and being driven I can't wait to drive it again because it's been 3 weeks since I last drove it I still have the old wheels but it looks sooooooo much better on these ones as identical as they are
