Default STi V Type R

I'm just posting this up for my litle bro who has not joined up on here yet. We spent quite a bit of time trying to find him the right car and found this car in Darby. It's had 2 owners from new and was brought brand new in Japan and shipped to the UK where Graham Goode Racing have been serving and mainting the car since 6 months old . You should see the bills and history that came with the car

Anyway, enjoy....

Lovely car. That was exacty the one I was thinking of getting. In the end I played it safe and got a UK Turbo 2000 (+ save some money). Not disappointed, but might change one day.

Hope your bro enjoys the car. Please, please tell me he's not going to "chav up" such a mint specimen?

I got some Brembos recently and had to get the smaller ones as they didn't clear either.

Cracking looking car Andy, glad you managed to find one. I bet your brother is thrilled.
Looks like a version V to me though.

Lloyd.

I would also say a 5 too (Same as mine) There is very little difference between them, spoiler lip and front lip, also the need to hold the clutch to start and maybe the VF29 turbo??. Still nice motor

ah sweet. lovely looking car, best colour in the world ever, and a 2 door. damn me jealous again.

I think it needs debadging/de-stickering, clean the lines up a bit and bingo, it would be spot on.

Mate, theres stuff about that car that isn't quite right!
First of all, thats not the cars original colour! The Type-R was never produced in that colour! I have the original brochures for the V4, V5 & V6 Type-R's and V-Limited models. That colour was never an option.
And the STi badges on the front wing, are in the wrong position. They are way to high!
This could be just a WRX Type-R made to look like a Type-R STi.

And how are you going to get that car into the UK?
There are no Type-R model reports available for the SVA test.
I was told by the Department of Transport that my Type-R was the last one that was allowed to be imported, SVA'd and registered in the UK, and that was 1 month ago.

Certainly was available in that colour, here's a picture of my old one.

Must admit those badges are alittle high though!!!

nice car your bro has.. (Lucky git!!!! )
It isnt by any chance the one that was on autotrader with 33k FSH - if it is you beat me to it as i still had my 02 STi and when i did sell that the type-R also got sold.. Oh well - atleast its gone to a good home The Search goes on for a STandard Type-R... (Quite like the wheels also)

Juliano - Wigan

RAF1 - yes it is. We travelled from Wigan to Darby twice to look / get this car! It was well worth it.

btw, if you see a Sonic Blue one from Wigan with a roof scoop, don't touch it. It's had a full front end and the owner does not even realise it
