Nice car mate,

Take it its a 2.7 v6 bi turbo? I looked at a couple before the scoob, lovely big cars and with a little chip you can break 300hp no bother,

Chris

It put most people off...its a 1999, 140K miles are motorway miles only...full audi service history, and two owners only..and the car engine sounds so sweat that it will make you think just how long this car is spose to actually last. You can bearly hear it...

Personally i would never buy a car with that milleage, the M3 Evo that i have now has 95K on the clock, thats also a sweat sounding motor..

I dont think he will be chipping it, due to the high milleage incase it causes an issue...

This range of Audi's were built to last...

I have the perfect thing on ebay for sale just now for him. The number plate V6 YES I think the auction ends on Friday but do a search for V6 YES and you will find it. No reserve so highest bidder gets it.

I think this sold for £6600 on ebay, cheap for what it is but with 150,000 miles on it I would be to worried with something going wrong and costing thousands. I have experiance through friends of people buying Mercedes, BMWs and Audis and something expensive always goes wrong with them when they are 3years+ old with super high miles.

Very nice car mate and to be fair if you want lower miles then you are gonna pay at least £10-£11K.

My mate has one in Nogaro Blue with the blue/cream alcantara interior with about half as many miles & just paid £12k on a T-reg.
You get what you pay for but thats a great car for Ford money!!!

Was tempted by an S4 but went for the scoob as i could get lower mileage and newer car for the same money plus ive had Audis b4 and wanted to try a change. When i looked into the S4 a lot of people say that turbos going are the major problem either one or both of them. Not saying it happens all the time but what they said was if something was likely to go it would be the turbo. Knowing Audi this wont be cheap either. Might be worth getting a warranty or getting it checked. Other than that i must admit they are nice. Might try one next time.

Can't go far wrong at that money!

It's funny how people get all worried about mileage, I often wonder when the stigma associated with 100k miles will go away. It's a throw back from cars of yesterday if you ask me.

Personally I'd rather have a well looked after 100k motorway mile car than a car that's done 60k of hard short journeys.

I'd quite like one of these cars and was talking today about them, bet there's some nice bhp potential there (considering the 2.7L twin turbo setup)

IIRC these are 265bhp and 310lb/ft as standard... with a simple re-map you'll be up near 310bhp and 350lb/ft.

Cheers,
Grant

His old one was remapped, though he is not sure if he should get this one done or not due to the milleage.

mmm S4 Lovely car, and in a lovely color too. Am hoping (dreaming? ) to get a B7 S4 Avant at some point. To be honest, if it's been serviced on time and by an official audi dealer, or a reputable non-dealer then I'd not worry about the milage, cars these days are made to last a long long time.
