V. cool. That's what the 'ski hatch' thing should be used for!
Did you have to dynamat the boot at all to stop it rattling?
How does the Alpine touch-strip thing work in practice? I thought about getting one, but I can hardly turn the volume **** smoothly on mine if the road's anything but glass-smooth let alone use a touch-pad thing!
Does it make scrolling through albums etc. quicker on the iPod?

I've seen a lot of bad press on here regarding the Alpine stereo system and the iPod connection I have to say I'm very impressed I was always scratching CDs in the boot of my car using a CD changer now I no longer have this problem. The touchpad is okay but to be perfectly honest it's a bit of a gimmick you can use the normal buttons as well.
Another point is that you have to arrange your songs into playlists using iTunes this is very easy and really adds to the experience

Any chance of a step by step guide for the sub/amps etc. with photos?
It would be a very good addition to the ICE section and its FAQ (not that anyone reads the FAQ...).
I agree with you on the alpine/ipod thing; playlists are the way forward, and even if you don't use them the controls are still streets ahead of a 1,000 disc CD changer!

Now that is how an install should look, lovely and neat, professional looking job, and still loads of room in the boot. Bet it sounds great too.
