Running a GT35 p18 turbo ,550cc injectors,de-cat ,RCM maniflods with 3" exhaust. All being looked after with a Motec ecu .You can run this power but you must have a temperature sensor which i have had welded into the intercooler .

thats big power man, nice,, ive a 98 sti type r, wud like that power...prob around 305-315bhp, full decat 3",with headers and up pipe, lightened flywheel, blitz induction, apexi power fc mapped on 100ron @ 1.3bar..i thought p1's and type r's had 550cc injectors? 440cc are they?the car is pretty much as good as it gets with what i have, wud have to go for turbo, fuel pump and injectors next, yours looks very nice, i like it..i hear the sti8 i/c is supposed to be a good one for a transplant

The standard injestors are 440cc on the type r and P1.
The STI8 intercooler is a bit better but still cant get enough air in so next step is front mount.

How much extra would a front mount add?? or does it just make it easier for the car to breathe??

Gav..

An STi 8 TMIC is adequate for that power with other little "adjustments", such as making sure the undertray of the scoop is cut away to allow maximum air flow to the cooler, plus making sure you build up a seal around the cooler, so when the bonnet is closed, it's sealed against the cooler surround so that the air passes through the cooler and not around it.

Marty- I have an HKS FMIC for sale at a bargain price....
altho it might not be 'bling' enough for you

you could always get the hard pipes chromed to match the rest of the engine bay?
