Default Me new bits!!! Inc. Seibon CF RB5 Spoiler...

Had a bit of time free so i thought i would share my lastest mods with you.

As you will see below the Brembos were a close fit!!!! bit worried at one point as the thought of buying a new set of wheels wasn't a good one!!

The other pics show my Seibon Carbon Fibre RB5 wing and a CF gauge pod. (not Seibon), but the gauges look sweeeeeet @ night.

Hope you like...

I'm sure others have the spoiler already, it can't be a first.... can it??? but like you said, maybe they are trying to keep it "exclusive"!!

Cool

Looks good mate... You got any other pics, one of the side would be good, I wanna fit 18's on my black type R... Got Brembos too, just trying to decide on what wheel/colour...
Did you re-paint the brakes? If so where did you get the Brembo stickers from?

Neither, they are autogauge gauges and look wicked @ night and (would show piccy, but camera not that good im afraid!! will try) as a bonus they can cost less than £100 depending on choice of gauge! As for the pod is an ebay bargain @ £75 delivered, the quality is really good and available in 52 & 60mm.

Scoobyslammed - I'll take a few pictures of the side of the car tomorrow and as for the brembo stickies... just purchased a vinyl cutter, still learning, but if you want i'll try and knock you some up? no promises though!!!! The fronts are easy-er, the rears are a b1tch as they are tiny. What sizes would you want?
(If all else fails though peeps on ebay sell them!!!)

Excuse this silly question but is that £100 each gauge or a set of 3 ?

The car looks stunning... the spoiler in carbon really matches with the coulour of the car and the gauge pod then really looks the business inside.
Are they Rota alloys ? and yes those Brembos are a snug fit on there !!

Cheers matey, and thanks for the positive feedback so far from everybody else.

Good spot, indeed they are Rota's, good old tarmac II's. A fantastic wheel and really lovin' them know i've added the polished lip!!

As for the gauge Q? the gauges can cost as little as £100 for three, i've attached a link on Si's 3 gauge pod thread if interested in looking! but here it is again anyway. http://www.xyberautos.com/catalog/default.php

Oh and here are a few pics of gauges at night, but not on my car though, and you might recognise them if you search the above site!!! thanks Xyber!
(The pics show the gauges On and Off! You'll see what i mean!)

That is quite suprising to say the least
I would never have expected you could pick a set up for that price...

Did you fit them yourself... complex or not to bad ? on a scale of 1-10

Hang on you've been editing lol
What do you find the Rotas to be like... only a future mod of mine needs to be alloys and 18's a that. The Rota's seem to be regarded very well on here and very reasonably priced. Have you any distance shots of the alloys ?

Simon

The hardest one to fit is the oil temp! finding a good route for the sender wire wasn't easy, but apart from that anyone with a bit of common sense!!!! should be able to manage it no problems.

I wired them all together outside the car (most wires go to same places i.e. power and earths) i then removed the 2nd glove box and separated as required (only inner bit required, not lid).
I then found my earth and positive wires (quite simple due to hazards, rear window demister and stereo being nearby) and pretty much hey presto, in she goes!!!

The only **** thing about the pod, and it seems the same with most is the fact that you have no real way of securing it in position!!!!! I actually screwed my pod to the inner glove box thingy, from the underside obviously!! and then re-fitted the box/pod as done previously minus the 2 securing screws.

I'm sure there are other ways, but mine is well in there as the top glove box is held in more securely than the pod would have been!!!

All in you would need a couple of hours if doing it properly.

Excellent thanks for that..... very helpful indeed
I fitted a boost gauge in mine and suprised myself to be honest as I'm usless under the bonnet normaly, I found not having air con was a great help as you have plenty of room to root around with all the empty space.

Si didn't you see the guages I had in my RA as they were the Autogauges.

They really do look like the Defi's at night, and they have to be the best guages you could buy for a very decent price.

The only problem I had fitting the sensors was the Oil temp and pressure. This was where we had to buy a kit from a motor factor to get the sensors fitted.

If you look on the previous group buy by Austen Wrx it had all the details.

I'm tempted again to purchase some new one's for the RB5 now.

If I may make a suggestion - put silvertec indicator bulbs in the rear. I know the STI lenses aren't crystal but orange bulbs still stick out like a sore thumb to me...
