Huge Northern California Subaru Meet (multiple pictures)!
I believe the final count was 215 cars. We came from all over Northern California to meet at Mt. Hamilton, which is just outside of San Jose in the Bay Area. This is the fifth consecutive year for the meet, and my second.
I organized a large group drive to the meet. My group started out from Sacramento, CA. We met at a nearby shopping center with a 76 and some food/drink places. We gassed up and and got loaded up with caffeine
Bright and early:
We had about 15 cars here in Sacramento. We then made our way to two more pick up spots before our pre-meet desitination. By the time we reached the pre-meet, the Great Mall in Milpitas, CA, we had about 50 cars all going down the freeway in a line. Quite a sight
Here's all the cars at the Great Mall. Each year we meet here and then head up to Mt. Hamilton. That's when the real fun starts - we flood the street with 150+ cars all at once
We were pretty early. Before we would leave, nearly all spots visible in the frame would be filled
Unfortunately at the entrance to our final meet point, which is Joseph D. Grant park, there is a guard booth with one guy taking money for entrance.
The ensuing traffic:
Once we finally hit the meet spot, some of our local guys were up there and had set up our spot. We had four EZ-UPs/tents this year. Our region is called SRIC (Sacramento/Reno Impreza Club).
Camp!
The blue/black wagon is a Vishnu wagon. Not sure if anything special was under the hood but they had put sedan fenders on the front and some questionable flaring on the rear..
All the cars at the park:
Bonus pic of my wagon cruising on Mt. Hamilton Rd:
Overall, awesome day. Hot as hell, but the company was good, the food was good and the driving was good. Can't wait til next years event

You had a good turnout and always the weather for it !! and your sunlight brings out the colours so much clearer than over here.
I do visit the NASIOC forum a little and have noticed that some of you guys have front reg plates and many do not, do you remove them for pictures or is it not a legal requirment to have a front one fitted ?

A lot of guys remove theirs because they think it makes the car look better, which I understand to a point. No front plate doesn't instantly make the car beautiful, especially since technically every car is supposed to have one. Those same guys are always the ones complaining when the get pinched by law enforcement and a simple stop for no plates (that they could have avoided in the first place) turns in to a trip to the smog referee

edit: of course it's a little more expensive if you're like my buddies yesterday who were mixing in 100 octane:
