Default Silver MY99 Classic on 18s

Finally sorted out a set of wheels to 'finish' off the look of the car.

Pics of when I bought the car and how it looks now.

What do you think?

those 215 tyres are way too 'stretched' for an 8'' wide rim,you will soon grow to hate them.

I know that I did

Done everything I want to do to her, wheels, exhaust, bodywork, ice, suspension, ecu, defis etc.

Running 280bhp and don't want to spend £1000 + for an extra 20bhp

Im happy with it now.

Cheers

Best thing ive heard someone say on here on a long time, You dont need 400+bhp to enjoy a impreza, at least with 280bhp its still fast and enough to beat most cars on the road and nothing too powerful to break your gearbox or engine.

Yes it does indeed look awesome

and I hope Coulster doesn't mind me posting this pic......

....this is my old Burnsmobile with the same wheels and illustrates the angle of the sidewalls.

So they give you absolutely no rim protection whotsoever and the tramlining is at best unbearable and at the worst down-right dangerous.

I actually pulled over once as I was convinced that I had a flat

IMHO suppliers should not be allowed to offer this wheel size/tyre combo and I know of at least one other person who agrees with me

carry on

Jon

Scott,

Always been a big fan of your car mate.... The wheels are the perfect mod to finish the transformation!!

Car is looking absolutely spot on now!! Now delete that advert on PH, cause you'd be crazy to let her go now.

See you at the next Dundee Meet hopefully.....

Cheers,
Grant

Even 215's on a 7.5" rim get a little stretched. My tyre fitter said the 225's fitted my P-WRC1 wheels a lot better. They can rub on a classic, but I had no problems on my RB5.

The P1 was fitted with 18x7.5 & 225/35/18 tyres.
