Well it was all pretty much guess work and I was in a hurry so I've probably done something wrong.

There was a hole already in the inner wheel arch for the top screw so I used that but that puts the hole below it exactly where the top of the skirt meets the bumper. If I put the lower screw in first using the bolt screw that holds the skirt on I would've had to drill another hole into the inner arch just below the existing hole. Looking at what I've just written it now seems obvious i was suppose to do just that but for some reason didn't think of it at the time.

I also could not get that lower bolt screw that fixes the skirt to the bumper undone. It turns but will not undo, theres nothing spinning behind it from what I can feel and its the same both sides.

Well pleased with the finished look, just need to source some stickers that will actually stick to this stuff. Took the opportunity whilst the wheels were off to have a good clean up underneath.

Cool Finaly Finished & Photographed !!!!

Finaly got round to finishing the mud flaps on Friday afternoon before going to Japfest on Saturday, and bloody good job with the rain and mud !!!!

I think they have come out really well :-

Rear before :-

After :-

And the fronts, Before :-

And After :-

I think they look well cool, really pleased with the results, just wonder how long my brackets will remain black !!

All that is left to do now is source some decals for them
Oh and wash the dam thing again !!

I'm hoping to get mine fitted soon... the cars gone in for some paintwork today so I needed to get that done first.
Those brackets painted look great !! don't mind if I copy you do you !! ??
I might be tempted to put a spot on the fixing bolts also

Not at all mate, go for it !!

I did think about spraying all the fixings up but opted against it as I felt you would fetch the paint off when fitting them leaving them looking second hand !!

Looking good Mark, thought about painting mine but was worried what they would look like after being pebble dashed for a few thousand miles. Be interested to hear how they hold up. Another alternative might be to get them powder coated.

Cheers Allan , It makes all the cuts and brusies worth while

Yeah that was my main concern too, but I guess its a case of wait and see and hopefully they won't look too bad.

I am currently enquiring at work about getting a set powder coated, may see if I can buy another set of brackets of Austen too just in case.

Mark.

Hi,

I went for 230mm x 110mm graphics for both front and rear. Here is the design I created, Only left hand shown as I have had the swoosh mirrored :-

If I remember correcttly the space available ( Mine are fitted on the bottom set of holes ) is front 385mm x 100mm (Bearing in mind that some of the width wraps around the wheelarch so isn't really visable. And the rears measured 285mm x 125mm.

The fronts measured 100mm in hieght, so the top little bit of the subaru swoosh will dissapear under the car, but to be honest you dont see a great deal of the front stickers unless you get on your hands and knees. So was more bothered about the graphics looking good on the rears.

I ordered mine from www.racegraphics.net 7.50 for the 4 delivered !! Bargain.

Thanks Mark,

I have ordered the same sizes in Silver, but with a normal swoosh and Prodrive.

Very cheap, as you say.

Toby,
These are the flaps from the recent group buy organised by Austen wrx, I think it's finished now though.

I believe Scott Lowe does some very similar, try a search.

Cheers
