Cool MY 'new' FMIC

Here's a couple of pics of my Hybrid FMIC and bonnet scoop, fitted

I bought the scoop from ETS Racing, and the Intercooler 2nd hand from a user on here.

I spent most of yesterday 'dremeling' big chunks out of the front bumper

I'm pleased with the end result - I don't really want to put mesh in front if the intercooler, as it will look a bit chav IMO - I guess if i start to get stone damage to the fins, I'll have to cover it with something.

Pics of the engine bay to follow, once it's had a bit of a clean...

Richard

It certainly feels like it is pulling a lot stronger on boost now.

I had to drop the duty cycle on the AVC-R by 8%, and it's still making more boost than previously

Spoolup is hardly affected - full boost seems to be about 100rpm later now.

AFR's are fine on the Wideband...If anything a bit rich still
KL and det cans are quiet.

I made an adaptor plate so that i could plumb in the standard recirc. valve...It sounds like a bloody VTA with the addition of a K&N Induction kit
It might not be any quicker, but it certainly sounds it

Just got to make a Cold Air Box for the filter now, and fit the PowerFC

I hate that about my HKS FMIC too. Hate how it makes my scoob sound like a chav-mobile after lifting off.

Lol, i was just about the say that Stuart. Aye, fit K&N and whether you like it or not you have a chav-mobile. I'm in the same boat by the way Richard.

Car looks good though, i i'd like to see the engine bay too.
