What a complete mess. Proof positive that imprezas are ending up in the wrong hands....

The guy who owns this is known as Gareth on surrey scoobies, he came with us yesterday to Bolney and is a very nice guy.
The car is an sti and we were talking to him about his mods and he likes to be different and not follow like sheep to what everyone else considers tastelful, there is a lot more to come on this car yet believe me
I would not do what he has done to my wagon but I think people should just live and let live and not rip it apart on here as Its his car after all and its his decision

Not everyone has a Mega Budget to Mod with some have to make do with things. I for one havent been able to work for nearly 3 years due to someone knocking me off a bike and all mine has been done while off work on Incapacity Allowance

I say fair play to Gareth who dares to be different

Different doesn't have to look like complete ****e.

Yeah I'm loving it mate. It has good spec already (I'd guess about 4k's worth of mods) so there isn't really a whole hell of alot I need to do. Just silly little bits and pieces to tidy up.
Sometimes I do miss the scoob in the wet, but in the dry the handling of the RX7 is sublime. It's just so much more fun, and they are still quite rare so it always gets loads of looks, and I always get asked what it is, most people think it's a Porsche and I've had a few think it's a Ferrari, LOL

I had a good chat to Gareth yesterday - I have a silver wagon myself. Some of the mods were not to my taste, but we discussed them at length and I began to understand where he was coming from with it.. We had a good chat at length and appreciated each other's point of view - how refreshing is that ! Nice guy too ! (as wre all the other Surrey Scoobies guys I met.

Hi Keith, thanks for posting Re: gareths point of view, few will understand unless they have spoken to him, I mean you could take a different approach and put loads of tribal stickers up the sides of your car that look equally as ****e in some peoples view or become a real attention seeking **** by doing donuts around tents in front of many disapproving people....
As stated before, each to their own.

The majority of mods on my scoob were real, performance enhancing mods (346bhp before it left my hands), not stick-on ****e that makes it look like a lax power readers wet dream.
And PMSL at the donuts around tents comment. Go and read the original thread about that again and you'll realise what crock of toss you are talking.
Good old scoobynet, nice to see it hasn't changed

Your're coming over as quite arrogant DreXel
You modded your car to your own liking, including cosmetic enhancements... all this guy has done is exactly the same as you! He has personalised it and doubt whether he gives two hoots what anyone says here - I just don't understand why people have to be so rude and negative when it doesn't actually concern them!

I agree with alive and let live. I'll live with him driving that, and he can live with me thinking it looks like a complete pile of ****, with a stupid bodykit that looks like it belongs on a Nova, a ridiculous comedy spoiler, and a stupid sunstrip.
