That could be jigged and repaired back to as new.
If it goes up in the salvage auctions somone will have a good buy - as long as it's repaired right.
We have straightened up banana shaped cossies far far worse than that, some of the before and after pics of repairs that we did in the 80's on cars that today would be written off just by blowing the airbags!

Aside from the bodywork, which will no doubt be costly, the mechanical side of things won't be cheap- those 2.2s don't grow on trees unfortunately.
The value in a 22b is always going to be the originality, so its really got to be done right to retain its value.
Parts aside, it doesn't look a massively complicated repair once jigged if the floor and roof are straight.

the problem is the economic viability of the repair. Panels are like hens teeth with only poor copies going around which won't be up to the insurance companies repair standards... unfortunalty this is often the way 22b's go out of circulation with only minor accident damage

It would be stupid for me to suggest someone to buy it from a salvage auction then pay a bodyshop/garage to repair it. However if you have the facilities at hand and experienced in mechanical/body repairs - then you have yourself a bargain 22B which you could put the road at just the cost of parts and materials (which should offset the cost of the wings ).
