Hybrid FMIC fitted at last
After spending all weekend cutting my bumper (and myself) i finally got the new Hybrid FMIC fitted and i think its a fantastic piece of kit, just a bit of a pain to fit,but after a couple of days throwing hacksaws and spanners up the road and filling up the swear tin its finished.

I thought about moving the number plate but realised there was nowhere to put it that looks any good.Having it on a splitter as a sticky job looks cr@p and i cant have a square one (evo style) as i use the driving lights so as its a small plate and is no bigger than the moulded numberplate mount on the bumper its staying.
As for the STi logo,i wasnt really sure about it to start with but the more i look at it the more it grows on me,besides it is more appealing to the eyes (well mine anyway) than the plain bland look.
I appreciate the comments good and bad
cheers guys

Cheers Jammer,i did think about trimming it down but i dont really want to increase the chances of getting a tug by the boys in blue any more than i am already. So far they havent battered an eyelid but for how long i dont know. After all i can just remove it for shows, meets etc

Not as yet as the car hasnt been remapped yet so im driving around off boost to prevent the chances of running lean but once remapped there should be a significant increase.Just waiting on the ECU to be delivered ready for the Andy F treatment

Theres nowhere else to put the plate and being only 3/4 size anyway it doesnt obstruct much air, bearing in mind the size of the FMIC.Scoobychrissy its a must have mod IMO for the money anyway, just a pig to fit.
I dont mind people slagging it as long as there is a valid reason. All feedback is good.I dont appreciate kids trolling threads looking for a reaction

The FMIC was part of Harveys group buy which was conducted on 22b.com this time round but the total cost was £575 delivered to your door. The only pig of a job bit was the bumper cutting which took forever but the finished article is well worth the agro as many people who have done this mod will confirm.Go on you know you want to

your still here then kid! knew the insults would yet again go to my car
we did spend ages placing numberplate in different places but they all looked rubbish! the mounting plate bit for the number plate is pretty much the same size as his number plate so as he said it isnt bocking out much air!
I think it looks better there! Having seen some other cars i'm not sure it looks too good to one side (like the evo's) plus then he would lose one of his driving lights!

I dont like numberplates on the front lip anymore i think they look well out of place.I'd gain no advantage moving the plate because the mouded numberplate mount on the bumper is the same size as the plate and it cant be removed without destroying the bumper so its staying put
