unlucky Dave, hope you get it sorted out quick mate! On a good side the exhaust looks OK and very lucky you don't need a new light cluster.
I had the same last year when I was reversing and this parking meter jumper out from nowhere and smashed into me . The car was only 2 weeks old and I was really gutted with about a grands worth of damage too.
Take it easy bud!

Glad you're ok Dave and the car will mend - you know it will.
At least you don't have to run in an ever so slightly different engine !! 1000 miles is gonna be hell limited to 3500rpm but I reckon it might be worth it

oh and regarding....So that's why everyone is paying so much for their insurance.....
is there any payment for trauma...inconvenience and upset for this kind of thing, no!
it is the same old story, the victim never gets any compensation,
so i guess that is why whiplash is one of the main claims in accidents,
My daughter when she was 6 was in a car when it was hit from behind and for months we had sleepless nights and crying when in a car, we claimed whiplash for her, (there was no other compensation we could claim) and with the money we took her to disneyland Paris as a treat.
So mr palmer, if i was in the wrong so be it, but if it happened again i would not hesitate to do exactly the same.

Dave - glad to hear you'll be back with us on the Peak Tour
The recce has been done and its a cracker (see the thread mate) - lots of 'interesting' bits!!
Dan - its great just being back on the road in my Scoob. It will be run in and remapped next Saturday and then its payback time - as the sign in my car says "Running in uprated engine - try again next week"
