I thought Atmo dump valves were a no, no on Vag turbo's?

I had a Cupra R and had a Atmo Dump on it aswell for six months then went for the newer version 225bhp 53 plate and trust me what logiclee says its right it messed the intake up and mixtures all over the place ( Had a kind of mixture coming out my exhaust which was black...) Caution would be the word...
