Ah, but you never said whether things were better now or before...your 1st post could be taken either way depending on the gender of the audience

Talking

Kevin very true!

To be honest, as sad as this is, and I'd never thought I'd say it... I just can justify owning a scooby at the moment.

5 miles to and from work, and no time for track days

Thinks are very now, married life is treating me well (currently ).
TBH only miss the scoob on very long runs when encountering Mr-I-Own-The-Road.

Oh, miss the sound all the time though...

But don't miss the fuel n insurance bills!

Hope you are OK matey, Alex

Ha... I thought your initial post was showing off what you could have when you are not married... instead it's what you are left with now that you are married... sorry for the misinterpretation

Married life can't be that bad, after all I'm on my 2nd attempt Know what you mean about the running costs, I do all my own maintenance and I'm working away from home just now so only get to burn fuel at the weekend. Regards the burble, sad it may be but I really don't know if I could own a car that didn't sound as good as the Scooby - only candidates out there at the moment are a TVR or 911 Turbo

Soulgirl - no, not at all.

I've been there done that as they say... if you'd asked me a few years ago what I thought was important, it would have been a completely different reply...

Weird how priorities change! in the last year, bought a new house, got married, turned 30, and bought a honda!

And built a neon PC!

I will get another scooby, but I think kids are on the horizon first!

Your use of the word attempt seems very negative...

Alex, yup you never know what's round the corner so make sure you live life to the full. Turned 40 this year (christ knows where it's all gone), in the last year I've divorced and remarried, my wife was made redundant and started her own business, my job has been relocated 200 miles away and I now commute to Aberdeen every Monday morning. Extended family now has between zero and 4 children, depending on whether they're with us or the ex's, 2 mine and 2 step from 7 to 15 yrs. Life is full of surprises, very hectic and never dull - the Scooby is a great escape.....if I had any sense I'd get a Honda..

Hi Alex,

Hope you are well!

29 - Bought the house
30 - Built a neon PC
31 (on my birthday) - Bought a Honda
31.5 - Getting married!!

I doubt I will buy another Impreza, although the Forester looks like a perfect "Mum Bus"

I see you've been to Mr. Trouser already!! The black wheels look fantastic on the car!

Did you get my text message or email? [I've lost your yahoo address ]

Cheers
Andy

When I was single I had a Tosh 100mhz laptop, Impreza Terzo and a cute little end-of-terrace in Reigate which needed loads of refurbishing.

Now I'm married I have the same Tosh laptop, a 2Ghz desktop that has been out for repair five times in the last 2 years and has fekked up TWICE in the last couple of months and doesn't work at present; a RAV4 diesel and no ability to buy the Caterham that was supposed to partner it; and a bloody huge house by the sea.

Hmm...

Cool

Theres more than 1 way to skin a cat

29 1 bed flat with WRX + all the trimmings
31 3 bed house with GF - still have scoob
32 Daughter born - bought Westfield
32.5 Got engaged - sold WRX and got a std wagon - on a promise no mods (that are, ahem, non-essential )

I've only got a £500 PC bought from Comet (I know, I know ) so maybe thats the secret to keeping the scoob

Nice Civic BTW

Elena is doing well, nearly 8 months old now - where does all the time go? She's nearly nipping, about to cut her first tooth. Funny how many seem to get colds and coughs whilst teething - doesn't dampen her spirits though
