18's are definetely and improvement over my 17" ones. Ride quality is actually better i.e smoother + quieter. Haven't really noticed a huge amount of reduction in actual comfort given there's less rubber to soak up bumps.
Went from 17" speedlines with 215/40/17 Toyo's to 18" OZ P-WRC1's with 225/35/18 Goodyear's.

Its a shame you can't corner in it now.
You need to lower it now, colour code the door handles, blow in that little bit of damage to the right hand corner of the lip where it touches the intercooler and some red Oz stickers on the wheels.
Other than that I suppose it looks ok
Nice one Martin.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys
I've no idea about the offset I'm afraid as I bought them 2nd hand just the other day, they were in an appawling state & I've spent the last couple of days making them look half decent.
The tyre size is 215/35/19 & even with a narrow tyre like that they still only just clear the rear strut on the inside.
I'm pleased with the ride and I havent really noticed any great difference to the 18's I had before although to be honest I've not done that many miles since putting them on yesterday !

Looks superb Scoobyfurry! Got one just like it!..minus the front mount though.. Best colour too IMHO.
Recommend Eibach springs mate. It'll sit a treat with 19's on a classic..

Lol thats a bit of a sore point at the moment as he ordered one 2 weeks ago from a company called BRS (??) who originaly promised it within 7 days. According to them they sent it 1st class last Friday but (& this is the good bit) 1st class from Somerset (where they are) apparantly takes 3-5 days to arrive
We're still waiting .................

Top car, top work.
I had Eibachs on mine for a while and although they tightened up the handling a little the car still looked as though it was on stilts. Changed them for H&R's in the end which are marginally better.
Ditto the handles too.
MY98 or 99 if you don't mind me asking?

well, the wheels are from my impreza, i sold them for £650 cos they wenrt pratical for my needs, i.e events in the week that i participate in ;-0 (going shopping)
they wenrt that bad state either u cheeky c*** ;-0
here is a pic of mine with them on, i wish i never sold em, they are mint wheels, but spent the money to get my scoob runnin just over 300bhp!
this is what they looked like on mine, since then, sti front splitter and fog lampo covers. next, front facelift and then it will look like scoobyfurys! he s just beat me to it!

These wheels had an half inch crack in the inner rim of one of the wheels which had to welded and kurb damage around the whole of every wheel and a bent rim, Which took me two days to repair. In my book I would say they were in a bit of a state. But I'm not knocking it Rich, the wheels were nice and cheap and now they look like they should. You cheeky c*** ;-0
