Thanks for that Scoob_mad.
I think that exhaust looks great.
If I bought the Blitz Nur Spec R £559.99 would this effect my ECU??? or can I bolt it straight on? & increase my BHP by 20BHP?

Any info from my prev post.

If I buy the Blitz exhaust (full system) Can I put it straight on? or will I need to remap the ECU?

ProdriveSTI - Mine is just the Backbox (all cats still in place) so I didn't have to worry about a re-map. Have heard others say that it is advisable if any of the cats are removed although I am not 100% on that.....sorry.

The sound is lovely! Quite bassy and not quite as raspy as the Firestorm (TSL) although during a recent dB test the Firestorm and Blitz gave very similar readings. Can't remember the exact readings (and they were done in a carpark with an uncallobrated machine so not exactly ideal test conditions ) so not sure how accurate they are. I think it was about 80-ish dB at tickover and about 103dB at 4000rpm......like I said, I can't remember exactly but I think that is about right.

I think the full system is a bit louder due to the centre pipe being de-cat and 3inch dia. rather than the standard 2.5inch dia.

The back-box was a direct swap for the original STi box, no hassle, took about 30mins to swap....(and I had never done one before! )

No regrets from me...love it!

By the way, the sound isn't too bad when travelling on the motorway either, not too loud...for me anyway, although a friend has got the NUR specR (System) and he did say that his can get a bit drony (sp??) on a long journey.

Really does sound awesome though, gets lots of attention....not always a good thing! and not sure how the neighbours feel about it!

Have they quietened the Nur Spec R down? In the Scoobynet "old days" there was one Nur Spec R exhaust system that was owned by at least half a dozen people, all of whom ditched it after a couple of weeks because it was too loud
