Sunstrip - Smart? or too chav??
Hi people, recently put this sunstrip on my scoob but not sure whether its to stay or go. Please help me make up my mind. I do like the look from outside the car, but from the inside it is gettin on me nerves. I'm 6'5 so although it doesnt block anything important out it can be annoying when I get to the traffic lights and cant see them! have to bend down like a chav lol
I made it a little too big really but I cant be bothered to buy another one and try again but if it does go i think i will put the gold sticker on its own.
So what do you guys reckon??? Please vote
Cheers
Steve

I've voted no, not cause it looks chav tho, it's cause i don't understand why people put subaru on their sunstrips. it's like writing "this is a car" on it, or maybe "my car is red" keep the sunstrip tho, just change the writing.

On my WRX the car was white and I had a Black sunstrip with with lettering Subaru and the Logo. I was after the rally car look - until I saw a similar impreza sport again white with a black sunstrip - and SUBARU in the wrong font. I realised it looked a bit naff - so all I did was remove the lettering and kept the black sunstrip. I realised it looked much better and much more Q car.

***** everyone else, if you're happy with it keep it! All this 'chav' & 'pikey' business is becoming a bit tired in my opinion. I think people are using the phrase a bit too much these days so that now if something isn't to someone else's liking then it's chav?!! WTF is that about?! Anyway, I'm off to watch Trisha...

Get a smaller sunstrip that curves with the window rather than staright at the bottom. from inside it looks like it is curving downwards and is blocking visibility.
I recently changed mine from teh one you have to a custom fit curved one and it is much better. Let me know if you want a curvy one.

I had a silver sunstrip on my Silver my95 and it had a rip that got bigger each jetwash and although it was a small rip tbh in the end I thought the overall look was a bit looked a bit "Maxpower" so I pulled it off. I think you can get a way with a black strip easier than a colour coded one.
The colour'd one alters the lines of the car too much by making the front of the roof line way too low, Wheres as a Black one wouldnt show up as much.
The only writiting I expect to see is Darren and Tacey on those 70's green sunstrips.

the reason i put it on in the first place was to emphasise the red/gold combo i've got going on. I do like the look although as Krade says it does make the roof line come down a bit too low.
However, the votes say to keep it so this is what i'll do
Thanks to everyone for your votes
These sunstrips are available in any colour for £15 and you do them to the size you want. If anyone is interested then you need to contact John Wainwright at johnwis@ntlworld.com
Cheers
