Smile My New 18's

Just replaced my old Team Dynamics Monzas with these - BK Racing 18" gold/silver split rim style & new Toyo Proxes.

Well pleased with the result but a nightmare to clean !!

El

PS: and before anyone says it, yes I know i missed a bit when cleaning the side skirts but never noticed until after I took the pics !

Hi mate I got the same wheel for my Type R in 18 in and they don`t fit unless i have my arches rolled. Do your cath mate. and what size tyres you got. the offset is apparently wrong for the Subaru and thats why they catch.

Cheers for the comments everyone.

Jonjo - pls post some pics of yours when you get them, I was considering getting the hyper black so would like to see what they look like.

SUBTYPER - tyres are 215/35's, they were also available with I think 240/45's or 245/40's (can't remember which) but according to the company I bought em from these can rub. Does the Type R sit lower than the WRX ?

I got 215/35 Tyres on adn they are catching even without anybody in back and also on standard suspension.

Do your wheels also have 5 other holes in the center that you dont use to fit to the car then and whats the offset of your wheels.

Where did you get your alloys from Mine came from power Zone. and have a 47mm offset. Wonder why mine catch the arches then. does your bodywork come past your arches then Fatman with the cuscos on or is it quite a stiff ride.

Nice.

But a spoke pattern which sticks out beyond the actual rim worries me.

Remember the new rules on kerb distances when parking.

My better half would deffo destroy them in one pub dropping off trip.

Good luck Yoza

They look great. I was going to get a set of them but BK told my local shop that they didn't make them in gold any more. I ended up with a set of gold BK 238s in the end and am still happy I got them.

SUBTYPER - no idea on offset on mine either sorry, they came from Wheelbase in leeds and all I did was specify them for Scooby fitment. Best thing is to go back to your supplier as I get the feeling they have supplied the wrong offset. I also have another set of holes but they don't even line up with the studs.

SUBTYPER something dont sound right cos I have 8x18" alloys with a 45mm offset which puts them further out and I only get slight contact with 4 people in on 215/35/18 toyo's.

And I ai'nt got my arches rolled yet either.

Sorry, car is V4 Type R.

i've got a set of these on a sti4 they also rub but not on the arches they rub on the suspension, so must be the wrong off set, didn't hear any noise as i've got no cat, it wasn't until the rear tyres started losing air that i relised the inner walls were fcuked, so bought some 6mm spacers and now there fine and has even improved the handling

So might mine be rubbing on the suspension then. I thought it was the arch lip. So did Yours catch all four or just the rear wheels

You can check the Offset on your wheels by taking them off and having a look at the inner side of the alloy where it attached to the hub, this should state the Offset.

Good choice of wheels sir, I have some on my baby:

Mine are 45mm offset with 215/35/18 tyres and I do get slight catching of the rears occasionally.

to everyone who's had these for a little while, are they holding up ok with no corrosion etc? I was warned about this in another thread where I mentioned that I was looking at bk299s in gold.

Are they a polished rim? Do they require any special looking after?

Jonjo, any pics of the hyperblack? Thats another option if I don't go for the gold!
