My MY03 silver wrx gallery
Im creating a new gallery as the Scoobynet 3 upgrade has messed with my picture links on fotopic so I have changed to my own webspace.
It all began in April 2003, Took delivery of the car.
A week later had a Tracker and BlackJax fitted. And a Blaupunkt / Infinity Stereo Install.
I have a few modding plans which will be posted here

August 2003 had a medium tint all round. I have a feeling with the new policiy in place these may not be legal but I will wait to see if i get any problems with them.

October 2003 I bought a STI backbox which I fitted to the car. It looks a lot better and sounds a bit fruitier, and is a stop gap until I am ready to blow the warranty and go for a decat and Tek 3.

January 2004, After going with a friend to powerstation got the urge to have tek3 and a decat, plans have been scuppered as the wife ordered a conservatory, doh.
I bought some little bits to tide me over.
First off Mini Mud flaps, sold as prodrive stone shields for the P1 with 18" wheels these stop the majority of crap going up the side of the car and do not look to bad.
Cost about £16

Febuary 2004, After getting a nasty stone scrape in the fog light surround I decided to get some fog light covers, 1 to hide the mark and 2 to protect the lights as it was a pretty near miss.

Thats brought the new thread upto date,
Next on the agenda is some flaps for the rear, As the wheel arches / bumper are having small blemishes from stones.
Colour code the side skirts.
Waxoyled again after the winter has passed.
Then when i stop dithering around a full decat with either a ninja or magnex backbox and a Tek3. Plus maybe some other mods to take advantage of th remap.

I got the "standard" mudflaps for mine, and kept them black as I think it contrasts well with the car...
Rear:
Both:
Not sure about your tints, they look a little dark to be legal! (but I'm no expert )
Very cool looking though.

The fog light covers are only available in the UK STI colours.
White, Blue, Black Silver AFAIK. The STI stickers are as it comes it wouldnt be to hard to remove them.
Part number for silver ones is 57731FE300TG (The TG dictates the colour). cost for the pair was £65
The tints arent that dark in the flesh, it must of been a cloudy day and the flash might not of helped, you can see into the car easily unlike the picture.

Hi pbee your car looks very nice, we have a Silver 03 WRX with full Colour coding, Prodrive Spoiler and Scooby Sport System, we had both of our cars tinted last year (03 WRX, 03 WRX Sti) but with the change in legislation we are having to get them removed. A lot of the insurance companies now are specifying that all side windows should allow 70% light in which basically means no tint Remember it is your responsibility to inform the insurance company so be careful.
Here is the link to some pics, the folder you want is New Scoobs

Just ordered a set of the fog covers myself... did they just slot into pre cut holes in the bumper after the 'shroud' was removed? or is there a bit of cutting required?
Thanks. J.

They just clip in your bumper after the shroud is removed.
Did you get the STi ones?
How much is your dealer charging?
One dealer quoted £70+vat
Another quoted £30+vat

Not sure at the moment! It took the dealer a while to find them on suabru's parts system (as the dealer system is different to the Subaru system) and in the hassle of trying to get them..... I acutally forgot to ask the price (what a kn*b)
I do remember stating to the dealer I've been told each side was about £35 and he did not say otherwise. I'm happy if they're £70 quid. (I get an SIDC discount anyway )
I've ordered the ones with the STI stickers on by deafult, but I don't think these are the 'pukka' STI ones. The covers that fit on the STI (I've been told) are made of a different plastic and have different fittings.
J.
PS. My MY99 fog covers cost £120 (painted) when I owned an MY99. These new ones are a bargin... colour coded and stickered up for less money

Not for the STI ones.... sorry. The dealer did find the STI's on his own parts system tho.
Only part numbers I've seen are the ones above, which I'm pretty sure you know about from reading other posts on the BBS

Sorry guys asking questions about the fog covers. I havent checked this for a while.
The fog light covers i bought with the part number above, where genuine and exactly the same as the sti the dealer had in the showroom, As the parts guy popped it off to show me how they fitted.
You dont need any fitting kit, you just pull off the current plastic insert surrounding the light and pop this in its place. Very easy
