Got my new STi8 scoop from jap-innovations.co.uk, and have now had it painted and I fitted it to my car today.
I'm well chuffed and heres the before and after pics !

Well, you know how it is :-)
Kept looking at them and thinking mmmmmmmm, and then of course there is the benefit of all that extra cold air now hitting the intercooler :-)

Scoop cost £160ish inc vat from jap-innovations.
Paint shop charged £99 inc vat. colour match is excellent. Mine is Black/Blue Mica.
And nothing to fit, except a few swear words and very cold hands :-)

Well my theory was (after having an email from Mike Wood stating that the STi7 scoop was the limited factor for any increase in power, ie the new PPP for the WR1 may fit on the STi8 but not the STi7 because of the scoop size) that the larger opening (and it is a lot larger than the original) would allow a greater amount of air to hit the intercooler.
To early to tell yet, but I would assume that the pick up should be better ?
Anyhow, it looks the dogs !
