Hey,

Slightly different Photoshop request.

I have a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus (road version of the 1981 WRC car) which is currently undergoing restoration while I am out of the country. It's been re-shelled, but the paintwork is going very blotchy and pink in places (it was non-original red) and it needs new front wings, so it will have to be re-sprayed.

Having acquired a photo of a friend's rally-prepared white one, I tried to envisage (using the amazing Microsoft Paint Program at work) what it would look like in a very 1970's shade of bright orange (as used on various American muscle cars and the Hillman Avenger Tiger). Sadly, Paint is not the program for this kind of exercise, as you can see.

I would therefore be most grateful if someone with some/any Photoshop skills could render a realistic solid orange colour onto this car, with something approaching the original Lotus black stripe down the side. See my attempt for very rough guidance.

Cheers,

f

Wow,

Thanks SPuDle. That is fantastic. I am trying to decide whether I should go for a Porsche red or crazy orange exterior, and I'm definitely leaning closer to the orange now. Tasty.

Cheers,

Wink

You could always look up the Subaru orange paint code:

...I think it might have been a limited edition colour for Cumbria only though

Thanks for your input Dave. Next time I'm made Sultan of Brunei I'll have six of each.

Cheers,
