Had a lovely day out with my wife & daughter at Brooklands Museum today.
Parked as close to the track as poss for a piccy
Then got braver, checked no-one was looking & ............
Just standing on the track gives you an incredible sense of nostagia & awe. Those guys we're very brave (or mad)

When I went a few years ago, I got to have a blast along whats left in a Facel Vega HK500, ( those that know will be suitably impressed!!) The guy behind the wheel even managed a 180 deg spin!!
trying top get nearer the top of the track on foot can be fun, you really don't understand how steep it is!!
What got me though, was the fact that in order to get that steep slope, the concrete must have been almost dry when they laid it! otherwise it'd have ended up at the bottom!! And it took all the pounding from the Bentleys etc!!
It's just a shame that the rest of it's gone, but can you imagine what the whole site would be worth now in Byfleet!!!!!!!
I'd like to have a go at 'The Hill'!!!!!! they were throwing Bugatti's up it when I was there!! Now that has to he heard!!

I wasn't that brave as I didnt have permission to be on there so didn't want to push my luck & end up having me and the fam thrown out lol
