Roughly how long would it take an accomplished 3ds user to produce this kind of thing? Only asking out of interest, 'cos I aint touched a 3d program since Psion's VU-3D on the old 48k Spectrum (Old git, I know)

It's not from a game, it's simply a picture, the guy is into 3D in a big way.

thats some serious work to do that, havent used 3DS 4 a few years now but remember doin some artworks for my college work, took me months!!


btw it is a real car, well based on the cusco team, think he's added a few nice touches

If anyone is interested - I do this for a living - will post some finished ones and works in progress if you like.

Can use a classic and MY03, EVO 6 etc to put diffrent alloys, colours, backgrounds in the final render.

 

what game was that for strat?

 

UHF, for www.racer.nl, but it haven't made it in there yet I'm building cars for a living as well, so I haven't quite got the inspiration needed when I get home

still think its amateur compared to thomas suurland - who I have pinched a lot of blueprints from. Here is a couple of his -

 

Lovely stuff there Strat!

A few pointers - the front bumper looks to be building outwards a tad much from the grille, and IIRC it slopes a tad more downwards IRL. I could be talking out of the rear again...

SAM, your rear might be right on that one It (the car) has some flaws I know of, but I don't have the energy to go over it again...

What about that solenoid?
